"Protect" link
 
There are some threads that are deleted that really should be left in place, if only to serve as an example of what not to do. There should be a "Protect" link on each thread and message as well as the "Report" link. If 5 people click "Protect", then the thread or message can't be deleted, not even by the op.

I agree, all mine deserve protection & preservation throughout generations

you can see replies you will get, like 5 friends or ids will protect their own...

ok how about the protect counteract the report delete type

next this leads to the edit

op cant delete entire but might need control to delete 'bad' replies

how about a score out of 10, and if it stays over 5 for 24 hours...its set in concrete

& you can see a meter barometer thermometer next to it from green to red

Nice in theory steve, but could backfire if the thread turned really nasty and we were stuck with it.

Maybe all threads should have "auto delete" after 7 days to free up valuable net space. Maybe then Oztion might speed up a little!

That way we don't have to repeat ourselves if the same topic is available with all the tips necessary.
How would we be able to advertise though if we couldn't start up new threads on old topics?
