Further to V-shop sales
Can I ask you, my dear sellers, how many items on average would you sell when you have a weekend sale?...

hardly any to none.
I don't find weekends to be good for sales at all.

I find a 24 hour sale on Monday, Wendesday, or Thursday to be the best.

And only having it for 24 hours keeps you near the top of the lists.

I am finding that starting it at 10.00am is best.

don't forget to also used your two spotd picks to advertise. Colin

My best day is the day the items finish on.

With the warmer weather finally here in Vic now many people are outside, BBQ season has begun judging by the smells wafting around today.

Not exactly Vshop but to repeat one of my bugbears.
Example:
Postage instructions:
A: Postage quoted on invoice includes all packaging materials B: Large Letter - 500 grams = $3.50 C: Small Parcel up to 250 grams = $4.80 D: small satchells $7 E: large satchels $11 all prices include all packaging etc. REGISTERED POST $3 AVAILABLE

But there is no weight of the items listed so the buyer still doesn't know how much the postage will be.
Or is the buyer supposed to message the seller and ask them how much each item weighs that they may be interested in, before bidding or buying?

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR DAMAGED ARTICLES ONCE POSTED.

May be written in the postage section and this is a hit the back button for many but, in the Payment section this may be written.

Store credit only No cash refunds unless Australia Post refunds me. These will be passed straight on to buyer asap.

I am NOT responsible for lost or delayed or damaged parcels once posted but will always follow up with aussie post . I keep receipts as proof of posting.

Question, why say in capitals that the seller will not be responsible in the postage section then say they will look into it but in lower case in the payment section?

Why not put it in the postage section instead of claiming in capitals they will not be responsible?
If making the declaration in capitals is to deter people, it works.

Also, some sellers have on their listing where the postage cost should be, 'See Item Description' and sometimes it is listed there so why not just put it in the postage section so it shows on the listing?
Most buyers actually want to know the cost of postage before we even look at the item as we factor postage into the overall cost and with this new system of showing the postage up front many buyers can't be bothered clicking on an item and searching to see whether the postage is listed in the Description area, as many times it is not listed anywhere.

Buyers rarely read anything though OR just dont take any notice.

hi puddimoo,
sorry to go off topic.

putting the postage on the listings has been a huge incentive for sellers to do the extra work of adding postage to their listings in the drop down box.

Sellers I buy from that did not use to do this are now adding postage.  Great to see.

As for adding the weights of  an item, sorry am not prepared to do it at the moment as I have a hard enough time adding measurements!  That said, if any buyer asked me to weigh some things I would do it straight away.  I even purchased a nifty scales up to 5 kilos so I can work out 3 kilo satchel combined post.

OzSparkle, can you tell me then how is a buyer to decide what the postage is going to be on a woman's shirt when the postage details are as follows

Postage instructions: A: Postage quoted on invoice includes all packaging materials
B: Large Letter - 500 grams = $3.50
C: Small Parcel up to 250 grams = $4.80
D: small satchells $7
E: large satchels $11 all prices include all packaging etc.

Or how about a pair of jeans? A tank top? Or even a pair of bras?

I have no idea what any of them weigh.
Am I supposed to go and weigh a pair of my jeans to have a guess at what the postage may be?
How much do the packaging materials weigh? Will it make the cost of postage go up a level?
The buyer has no idea.

I don't really care, just trying to explain why some people have less sales than others who have measurements and a postage cost listed.
