VINTAGE
MULTI-METER
(AUST)
No2
In
working
order
Made
in
Australia
by
"Mi"
this
is
a
fine
example
of
early
testing
equipment.
With
a
brass
frame
around
the
glass
meter
the
whole
thing
has
been
screwed
together
making
it
very
sturdy
and
durable
and
to
a
degree
water
resistant
The
case
is
bakelite
(I
think)
army
green
so
I'm
guessing
it
was
made
particularly
for
the
services.
Batteries
in
the
clear
cover
at
the
rear
are
still
there
and
working,
Handle
rotates
around
allowing
it
to
be
propped
up
at
an
angle.

Customer G'day.
As
an
Ex
Army
Electronics
Technician,
and
Calibration
Technician
I
have
worked
both
on
and
with
Aust
No2
Multimeters.
I
think
the
"Bungs"
are
actually
Dessicators.
Small
tubes
filled
with
those
moisture
absorbing
beads.
The
glass
window
is
supposed
to
have
something
similar
to
Litmus
paper
that
turns
pink
when
there's
moisture.
And
the
numbers
6626-66-016-1926
isn't
the
serial
number,
it's
the
DSN
(Defence
Stock
Number).
Hope
the
information
helps
if
a
buyer
asks
a
question
about
it.
