 Description
Struck in 2 ounces of solid copper, this 230 year old coin is a heavy coin, 2.5 times heavier than a USA silver dollar. As legal tender in Imperial Russia under Catherine The Great, this coin symbolises her notorious 30 years as Russian Czar and remarkable influence on the Russian Empire's expansion. The obverse features Catherine's ornate monogram with the year date (1797). The reverse design depicts a Russian Imperial Eagle. The coin is VF/VG in condition and still features plenty of great detail. This is a thick, heavy coin. Minting date ranged form 1763 to 1796.
