Description:
Here
we
have
a
gold
nugget
brooch
that
was
made
by
a
gold
prospector
melting
several
small
nuggets
of
high
grade
Far
North
Queensland
gold
together.
Later,
after
the
nugget
had
won
him
the
heart
of
a
Lady,
the
pin
and
safety
chain
were
added
by
a
jeweller.
However,
the
pin
does
not
stay
closed.
To
be
worn
safely
as
a
brooch,
it
really
needs
a
better
quality
pin.
Also,
as
you
can
see
from
the
photograph,
there
are
a
few
small
pebbles
imbedded
in
the
gold.
The
exact
weight
of
the
pebbles
is
not
known,
however,
I
doubt
if
they
would
weigh
more
than
4
or
5
grams.
