ANIMAL
GARLAND
-
Whether
you
live
in
the
country
of
the
city,
a
small
flat
or
a
large
rambling
house,
bring
a
little
bit
of
rural
charm
to
your
home
by
making
our
animal
garland.
Hang
it
above
a
window,
across
a
dresser
or
mantel,
or
at
the
foot
of
a
child’s
bed
to
celebrate
the
wonderful
world
of
animals.
You
can
make
it
as
long
or
as
short
as
you
like.
The
four
simple
shapes
can
be
either
hand
or
machined
sewn
and
filled
with
a
thin
wadding
then
outline
quilted
to
give
them
extra
dimension.
Tied
together
with
fine
satin
ribbons
our
animal
garland
is
a
quick
and
easy
project
for
all. SPATTER
PAINTED
FIRESCREEN
-
The
technique
of
spatter
painting
over
ferns
was
popular
in
the
late
nineteenth
century
and
was
often
used
to
decorate
chests,
tables,
screens
and
cutlery
boxes.
The
panels
of
our
Spatter
Painted
firescreen
were
painted
by
this
easy
method.
Use
it
to
paint
any
wooden
article
which
has
a
large
enough
area
to
accommodate
a
pleasing
arrangement
of
the
ferns.
The
frame
of
the
screen
was
given
a
distressed
finish
by
rubbing
back
the
blue
paint
to
reveal
an
undercoat
of
green,
the
final
finish
being
polished
with
fine
steel
wool
and
beeswax. STARS
OF
BLUE
QUILT
TO
STITCH
-
The
sawtooth
star
pattern
is
a
favourite
with
quilters
and
the
pretty
combination
of
blue
and
white
fabrics
adds
to
the
appeal
of
our
Stars
of
Blue
quilt.
Margaret
Rolfe
has
designed
this
project
as
an
introduction
to
fast
new
piecing
techniques,
explaining
step
by
step
how
to
cut,
stitch
and
quilt
the
speediest
way.
This
superb
quilt
illustrates
how
easy
it
is
to
enjoy
the
beauty
of
traditional
patchwork,
in
no
time
at
all. DELIGHTFUL
