Upholstery
and
Canework
Tricks
of
the
Trade.
By
Margaret
Edwards.
Hard
cover.
1982.
Ex
library
book.
Dust
jacket
covered
in
plastic.
Picked
this
book
up
with
the
thought
of
a
little
refurbishing
but
its
bit
too
advanced
for
me.
My
upholstery
skills
start
and
end
with
my
handy
heavy-duty
stapler
and
material.
With
the
disposable
age
far
behind
us
and
the
need
to
preserve
the
workmanship
of
the
past,
most
of
us
at
some
time
have
wished
we
could
give
our
old
furniture
a
new
lease
of
life
without
having
to
splash
out
on
the
services
of
a
professional.
This
invaluable
book
shows
you
how
to
reupholster
the
simplest
dining
chair
r
elaborate
buttoned
armchair;
turn
modest
foam
into
interesting
new
seats
and
cushions
;re-cane
a
chair
with
the
attractive
Standard
Six
way
caning
pattern;
perform
quick
repairs
and
invisible
mending.
In
face,
her
you
will
fine
many
of
the
tips,
dodges
and
shortcuts
the
professional
upholsterer
and
caner
uses
every
day
to
help
you
achieve
the
finish
a
craftsman
would
be
proud
of.
A
small
hardback
book;
approx.
13cm
x
20cm
with
127pages.
It
is
an
ex-library
book
so
there
are
old
library
stamps,
stickers,
writing
and
the
remains
of
the
pocket.
The
plastic
cover
has
scuffs
and
there
is
a
sticker
on
the
spine.
The
two
top
right
corners
are
scuffed
and
damaged.
But
the
inside
is
very
good.
Tightly
bound
and
all
the
pages
are
clean
and
tidy.
It’s
a
very
interesting
and
in-depth
book.
Seems
to
be
quite
hard
to
get
hold
of.
Postage
$3.
It
is
small
enough
to
go
as
a
letter.
The
cost
may
depend
on
the
postcode.
I
will
set
the
postage
at
$3,
if
it
is
cheaper
I
will
adjust
the
invoice.
I
am
always
trying
to
list
more
stuff,
some
days
faster
then
others.
If
you
see
anything
else
you
like
that
isn't
ending
for
a
while,
please
just
let
me
know
so
I
can
hang
off
sending
the
invoice.
All
my
clothes
are
freshly
washed
but
most
in
dire
need
of
a
good
iron.
I
just
have
too
many
clothes
to
list
that
all
I
have
time
to
do
is
basically
wave
a
hot
iron
over
the
item,
sorry.
It’s
one
of
the
reasons
I
keep
my
prices
low.
I
list
all
the
marks
or
damage
I
find,
hopefully
I
catch
everything.
I
am
pretty
careful.
I
do
occasionally
list
an
item
with
flaws
if
I
think
that
item
is
otherwise
a
good
quality,
or
unusual
item.
I
adjust
the
cost
accordingly.
Basically
I
hope
that
people
will
fill
buy
a
lot
of
items
and
fill
up
a
3
kilo
prepaid
satchel
in
which
case
the
slightly
flawed
item
doesn’t
really
cost
anything
postage-wise.
I
love
to
combine
on
postage.
I
can’t
fit
a
lot
into
the
small
$5.70
prepaid
satchel
because
of
the
weight
(500gm)
restriction,
but
I
can
stuff
heaps
into
the
big
$9.90
prepaid;
3
kilos.
Buy
something
with
the
$9.90
prepaid
satchel
and
anything
else
you
buy
that
I
can
stuff
into
this
same
satchel
will
be
free
postage.
