Dick
Anderson,
one
of
Mildura's
best-known
painters
was
born
in
Vermont,
Victoria,
he
began
his
working
life
as
a
sawmiller

moved
to
Mildura
with
his
family
and
worked
in
a
number
of
jobs
from

to

driver.
In
1969
he
made
the
big
decision
to
turn
what
had
been
a
hobby
into
a
full-time
career.
He
rented
his
house
to
ensure
a
steady
income
and
"went
bush"
in
a
caravan
with
his
wife
and
began
to
paint.
Soon
his
outback
paintings
began
claiming
attention
and
these
days
they

in
all
parts
of
the
