Robert

best
known
figurative
painters
and
his
career

more
than
5
decades.
Growing
up

boxing,
as

green
keeping
-
painting
in
his
spare
time
using
any
available
material.
The
hardships
that
Dickerson
went
through
in
these
early
years
of
his
career
are
evident
in
his
work,
a
sense
of
vulnerability,
isolation,
loneliness
as
well
as
humour
are
all
hallmarks
of
his
paintings.
He
has
held
over
100
solo
exhibitions
throughout
his
extensive
career.
A
retrospective
of
his
work
was
held
at
Caulfield
