 Description

Lovely lot of four different 19th century collectable sauces.

Both date from C. 1890.

A) Light aqua green two piece mould applied top sauce, embossed "Holbrook & Co." "P" on base. Dates from C. 1890. Stands approximately 227 mm in height. In great condition, with no chips or cracks.

B) Light aqua green two piece mould applied top mustard sauce. Rectangular in shape with champhered sides and a long neck. Dates from C. 1880 and stands approximately 187 mm in height. In very good, glossy condition, with no chips or cracks.

C) Light aqua green two piece mould applied top sauce, embossed "Lea & Perrins" down the face and "Worcestershire sauce" around the shoulder.
Dates from C. 1890. Stands approximately 183 mm in height. In very good condition, with just a couple of tiny flea bites on the base, a few tiny pit marks to the body and few minor, small rust spots. Also has some light, patchy internal staining which may wash out with a better clean.

D) Lovely little applied top chutney. Has "2" and "605" embossed on the base. Has lovely streaky marks that appear to be stretch marks all over. Dates from C.1890. Stands approximately 200 mm in height. A nice piece, with no cracks and just a chip to the lip and a couple of tiny flea bites to the base. The glass is also cloudy and dull all over.

In all, a sensational lot for a bottle or kitchenalia display.
