''The Australian Home Decorator & Painter'' by BH Brindley was published c1952 by The Herald & Weekly Times Melbourne. Lovely old vintage book illustrated throughout with photographs and drawings. Very comprehensive with numerous chapters including: *Colour In Home Decoration *Paints And Their Coating Capacities *Care Of Brushware *Preparatory Treatment Of Surfaces *Removing Old Paint Work *Interior & Exterior Painting *Cutting Glass & Glazing Windows *Wallpaper *Staining & Varnishing *Waxes & Wax Finishes *Enamels & Enamelling *Painting Cement & Wooden Floors *Ingredients & Mixing *Pigments & Their Properties. 240pg book size 240mm x 185mm. Hard covers and sound binding. Unmarked and undamaged pages but with neat inscription and name stamp right at the front. A nice collectable 50's book!!!
