Teach
children
to
say
No
to
Bullying
In
today's
world,
school
yard
bullying
is
making
headlines
as
a
global
problem.
As
a
concerned
grandparent,
I
have
taken
a
proactive
stand
against
bullying
by
writing
an
adventure
book
for
my
grandchildren
to
read
that
uses
cute,
cuddly,
Australian
animals
to
teach
children
that
bullying
someone
who
appears
different
in
size
or
appearance
from
yourself
doesn't
make
you
a
hero
-
it
makes
you
a
bully.
The
book
I
have
written
is
titled
“The
Adventures
of
Bundy
the
Bush
Kangaroo”.
It’s
a
mini
59
page
novel
covering
11
exciting
chapters.
Each
chapter
teaches
the
reader
a
moral
and
appropriate
behaviour:
for
example,
chapter
5
touches
on
bullying;
chapter
2
highlights
always
to
listen
to
your
parents
and
teachers,
and
stranger
danger;
chapter
6
highlights
having
respect
for
elderly
people
in
the
community.
This
book
is
an
exciting
read
for
every
child
6
to
12
years
of
age.
It’s
filled
with
action,
laughter
and
adventure,
as
Bundy
the
bush
kangaroo
and
his
best
friend
Whitey
cockatoo
explore
their
home
valley
in
the
great
Australian
outback,
searching
for
a
human
boy.
Hanna
Goanna
earlier
that
morning
had
seen
smoke
coming
from
the
east
side
of
the
valley.
Her
father
told
her
it
was
smoke
from
a
human's
camp
fire
and
warned
her
of
the
danger
of
going
too
close.
After
hearing
the
story
from
Hanna,
Bundy
and
Whitey
become
excited
and
set
of
to
find
the
human,
encountering
moments
of
danger
and
suspense
as
they
enter
the
unfamiliar
land
on
the
east
side
of
their
home
valley.
The
two
young
adventures
follow
a
snake
like
river
down
stream
to
the
east
when
they
realize
the
sky
has
turned
black
and
it's
too
late
to
head
for
the
safety
of
home.
The
two
find
refuge
in
a
bat's
cave
that
is
seated
high
up
from
the
valley
floor
on
the
side
of
a
rock
hill.
They
shelter
in
the
cave
for
the
night
from
a
raging
storm
that
fills
