Up
for
sale
is
my
Dell
Precision
470
Xeon
workstation
that
I
used
for
running
Autodesk
Inventor.
It
is
in
excellent
condition
and
dust
free
as
it
has
been
run
in
a
dust,
smoke
and
pet
free
environment.
I
have
upgraded
so
I
no
longer
need
it.
This
is
perfect
for
everything
like
internet,
photo
editing,
video
editing,
playing
games,
making
games,
computer
aided
design
(CAD)
like
Inventor,
AutoCAD,
Solidworks,
TurboCAD
and
anything
else
you
would
need
a
computer
for.
The
case
is
a
clamshell
type
that
opens
easily
and
like
the
bonnet
of
a
car,
it
stays
open
by
itself
so
needs
no
support,
it
can
be
padlocked
if
needed,
it
can
be
used
horizontally
(desktop,
as
shown)
or
vertically
(tower),
it
is
in
exccelent
condition.
It
has
an
extremely
strong
frame
and
will
support
any
monitor,
even
the
biggest
CRT
monitor,
you
can
also
stand
it
on
end
like
a
tower
case
if
you
want.
There
are
diagnostic
LEDs
on
the
front
next
to
the
USB
ports
though
I
have
never
had
any
problems
so
have
not
needed
to
use
them,
it
has
never
blue
screened
or
failed
in
any
way
and
has
had
light
use.
It
has:
- A
motherboard
that
can
take
2
processors
(2
sockets
for
CPUs)
but
only
1
is
installed
leaving
the
other
socket
empty,
it
has
a
dual
core
CPU
installed
that
runs
at
2.8GHz
and
is
64bit,
it
can
take
quad
core
CPUs
so
if
you
install
2
quad
core
CPUs
then
it
would
have
8
cores
making
it
a
truly
powerful
workstation
for
CAD/CAM,
video
editing,
photoshop
or
any
other
processor
intensive
applications.
- 1GB
of
RAM
(2x
512MB
sticks)
but
can
take
up
to
16GB
of
RAM
in
the
6
RAM
slots
(2
are
used
at
the
moment).
- A
Western
Digital
WD1600AJS-08PSAO
160GB
SATA
HDD,
it
can
take
more
SATA
HDDs
as
well
as
IDE
HDDs.
- A
Lite-On
LH-18A1P
18x
DVD
burner
that
does
all
formats
up
to
dual
layer
(CD-R,
CDRW,
DVD-/+r,
DVDRW,
DVD-ROM,
dual
layer
DVDRW),
I
can
add
a
DVD-ROM/CDRW
for
another
$10
that
will
make
backing
up
CDs
and
DVDs
much
easier
and
quicker.
- *SPECIAL
BONUS*
I
have
added
a
DVD-ROM/CDRW
that
will
make
backing
up
CDs
and
DVDs
much
easier.
*SPECIAL
BONUS*
Not
shown
in
the
photo
as
it
was
taken
before
the
drive
was
installed
but
it
is
below
the
DVD
drive
that
you
can
see
in
the
spare
slot.
- A
Nvidia
Quadro
NVS280
64MB
workstation
class
(best)
graphics
card
that
is
PCI
Express
x16
and
will
work
with
any
PCI
Express
x16
graphics
cards
(I
can
upgrade
this
to
another
graphics
card
of
your
choice
for
the
cost
of
the
graphics
card
on
top
of
the
bid
or
buy
it
now
price,
if
you
buy
a
card
with
this
computer
you
only
pay
shipping
on
the
computer,
the
shipping
on
the
graphics
card
will
be
free
as
it
will
be
installed
in
the
computer).
- PCI
Express
x8
slot
(x4
speed)
as
well
as
a
PCI
slot
and
PCIX
slot.
- A
floppy
drive,
front
firewire
(IEEE
1394a)
connection
(with
the
plastic
cover
shown
next
to
the
keyboard
in
the
photo),
2x
fromt
USB
2
ports
and
a
front
audio
connection
for
speakers
or
headphones.
- On
the
back
it
has
6x
USB
2
ports,
1x
parallel
port,
1x
10/100/1000
ethernet
network
port,
2x
PS/2
ports
for
keyboard
and
mouse,
audio
ports
for
line-in,
line-out,
and
microphone.
- A
Dell
keyboard
and
mouse.
- Windows
XP
Professional
installed
and
updated
to
service
pack
3,
including
the
Certificate
Of
Authenticity
(COA)
and
the
installation
disk,
worth
$150.
- Microsoft
Office
2007
Enterprise
Edition
installed,
worth
$150.
- Nero
7,
Avast
Anti
virus
(professional
and
activated),
Adaware
2007,
Spybot
Search
and
Destroy,
CCleaner,
Auslogics
Boost
Speed
(professional
and
activated)
and
Firefox
with
Noscript
and
Adblock
Plus
plugins.
The
17"
monitor
is
included
if
you
are
picking
up
the
computer
unless
you
want
to
pay
the
extra
cost
of
shipping
it
as
it
is
a
CRT
monitor
and
very
heavy
so
it
would
probably
be
an
extra
$50
to
send
the
monitor
on
top
of
the
$50
to
send
the
computer,
keyboard
and
mouse.
If
you
require
the
computer
to
be
shipped
and
you
do
not
want
to
pay
the
extra
cost
of
shipping
the
monitor
with
it
then
it
is
not
included,
the
final
bid
amount
will
not
be
reduced
if
you
do
not
want
the
monitor
shipped
with
the
computer.
If
you
have
any
questions
please
ask
and
I
will
do
my
best
to
answer
them.
Please
look
at
my
other
auctions
for
more
bargains.
I
have
been
selling
on
Ebay
under
the
user
name
tardis_workshop,
my
feedback
page
can
be
viewed
at
feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
where
you
will
see
I
have
100%
positive
feedback,
Ebay
is
not
what
it
used
to
be
so
I
am
now
here
on
the
better
auction
site
Oztion.
Payment
options
I
will
accept
are:
Australia
Post
money
order.
(preferred)
Direct
deposit/bank
deposit.
Bank
cheque.
Cash
on
pick
up.
I
will
not
accept
Paypal.
If
you
want
the
monitor
with
the
computer
then
it
will
cost
more
to
deliver
due
to
the
added
size
and
weight.
Shipping
will
be
$50
(insurance
an
extra
$20)
without
the
monitor
sent
by
courier
and
I
recommend
insurance
for
the
full
value.
Shipping
with
the
monitor
would
add
another
$50
to
the
above
cost
making
it
$100
to
ship
it
with
the
monitor.
I
may
be
able
to
send
it
for
less
cost
if
you
are
able
to
pick
it
up
from
your
nearest
Greyhound
Bus
Freight
depot,
see:
www.greyhoundfreight.com.au/
for
your
nearest
depot,
contact
me
with
your
suburb
and
post
code
(they
ask
for
both)
and
I
will
get
a
quote
from
them,
they
take
better
care
of
packages
and
there
is
less
handling
involved
than
there
is
through
Australia
Post
or
a
courier
so
there
is
less
chance
of
damage.
Overseas
buyers
should
contact
me
for
a
postage
quote
as
the
above
cost
is
for
within
Australia
only.
Ask
me
about
combined
postage
and
I
will
give
you
a
quote
on
the
items
you
specify.
Pick
up
is
available,
there
is
no
charge
for
pick
up
and
the
monitor
is
included
free
if
you
pick
it
up,
payment
by
cash
only
for
pick
up.
I
can
deliver
it
in
the
Adelaide
metro
area
for
$20
if
you
are
unable
to
pick
it
up
yourself,
the
monitor
is
included
free
if
I
deliver
it,
payment
by
cash
only
for
delivery
within
Adelaide.
