What's different about a classified ad?

• Classified ads are only available in certain categories: Pets (Excludes the Pet Supplies category).
  Coming 7th July 2008 - Cars, Motorcycles, Trucks, Caravans, Motorhomes & Campers, Boats, Aircraft, Businesses for Sale and Real Estate.
• You advertise the item with your asking price.
• No bidding takes place and the item cannot be purchased instantly using BuyNow. Instead, potential buyers information will be sent to you and you can arrange for them to come and inspect/purchase the item. The transaction does not happen online.
• Ratings cannot be left, since the transaction does not happen online.
• The item page will display the following message...
  "Classified Ad - Please contact the seller directly. There's no bidding on Classified Ads"
• You can advertise the item for 45 days.
• You do not need to enter a Start Price, Bid Increment or Listing Duration.
• An upfront listing fee to advertise the item applies, no sale fee applies.
  NOTE: All classified listings will be Free until 30th June 2009 11.59pm AEST.

How do I list a classified ad?

• List an item and select a classified category, e.g. Pets > Dogs.
• Enter your asking price in the BuyNow field.
• There is no need to enter a Start Price, Bid Increment or select a Duration.
• Fill out the other details as normal.
• The Classified listing fee will be deducted from your OZtion account.

How do I manage a classified ad?

• Classified ads are listed for 45 days at a time, so you will need to end your ad once you have sold the item.
• To end your ad, go to My OZtion > My Selling > Selling and select 'End it now' in the 'Action' box and then click the 'Select action' button.
• If your item does not sell within 45 days, you can relist the item for free for another 45 days. Go to My OZtion > My Selling > Sold and select 'Relist' from the 'Action' box and then click the 'Select action' button.
