Q. I have forgotten my Password or User ID, how can I retrieve it?
A. Please see the following: "Forgot password" or "Forgot User ID"

Q. I have not received my activation email, how can I finish the registration process now?
A. Please click here to have the email sent again.

Q. Can I change my User ID?
A. It depends on when you registered.
- If you registered before the 01/01/07 - Unfortunately, we cannot change your User ID. You can set up another account, but will need to use a different email address. If you need to use the same email, please change it on your old account first. However, we can change your username if you retain the first 3 characters of your User ID (i.e. change nicky456 to nicsplace).
- If you registered after the 01/01/07 - We can change your User ID.
If you're ok with retaining the first 3 characters or you registered after the 01/01/07 please contact us with your preferred User IDs in order of preference.

Q. How can I become a verified member or a seller?

Q. I have applied for Address Verification (AV) and it has not showed up yet, why?
A. Please double check you have actually applied for AV by checking your account statement in 'My OZtion', you will see a debit of $4.95 for AV if you have already applied. Note: You cannot apply for AV unless your OZtion account has sufficient credit. If you tried to apply and didn't have sufficient credit you will need to apply again when your account does have sufficient credit. Click here to apply for AV. Although you may have credited $2.50 to your account you still need to apply for AV. It can take up to 7 days to receive the AV letter.

Q. Can I fax you my Photo Identification, so I can set up my Seller's Account sooner?
A. We must sight a 'certified copy' of your photo verification for security purposes. It must be stamped and signed by the appropriate professional, as stated on our Photo ID page. A fax or email is not acceptable as the document can easily be tampered with. For further details, please click here.

Q. Can OZtion send me the AP application form? My printer is not working.
A. Unfortunately we cannot send the form to you, it is dynamically created when you are signed in. Each form is printed with an individual identifier for Australia Post's and OZtion's use so as to successfully complete the application for that member. You may apply for Australia Post verification from another PC (such as internet cafe or through a friend's PC) through your 'My OZtion'.

Q. I have accidentally applied for a Verification. Can I get a refund?
A. Verification fees are non-refundable as the process cannot be reversed. The verification pages clearly state the costs prior to submitting the application.

Q. I have made a payment into my OZtion prepaid account but it is not showing, why?
A. It can take up to 3 working days for your funds to show in our account. If it has been longer than 3 working days please provide the following information.
- Bank Name, BSB Number and Postcode
- Date and amount of payment
- Reference used

Q. My credit card was not accepted, why?
A. We only accept VISA and Master Card credit cards. Please make sure you used the correct card type. Other cards such as American Express will not work. Note: Some debit cards may not work online, check with your bank.

Q. Can I display my feedback from another site?
A. Yes, you can use an online reputation site such as Repatoo [ www.repatoo.com ] to display your feedback/ratings in your listings and 'About me' page. Alternatively you may add a link to your feedback page to show your feedback/ratings from other sites in your OZtion listings.

Q. Can I withdraw my account balance?
A. Credits on your Account are non-refundable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. An administration fee of $5 is payable where a member wishes to close their account and withdraw the balance of credits made on or before the 25th February 2008. The processing fee only applies when a refund is due (balance greater than $5). To close your account, click here.

Q. Am I able to use PayPal or Paymate to pay for my OZtion fees?
A. We accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards, direct deposit, money orders and cheques. More info

Buying Related

Q. How do I pay the seller?
A. The seller should send you an invoice with payment instructions. Please click here for more info.

Q. The auction ended, but the item page said there was still time left, why?
A. The time displayed on OZtion is static not dynamic, you need to refresh the page to see the latest time.

Q. Why do some items not display an end time?
A. Items that do not show the end time have been listed as a BidNow item.

Q. I do not meet a seller's 'buyer requirements'. What does this mean?
A. Sellers have the option to approve a buyer depending on their rating score or verification type. Although not recommended, some sellers prefer to pre-approve buyers. Please contact the seller and advise them of your interest in their item. The seller may be happy to pre-approve you by adding you to their Favourite Members list, which will enable you to purchase their item(s). More info | Favourite members

Q. I have accidentally marked items as 'Paid' and or 'Received'. How do I fix this?
A. If you accidentally mark an item as Paid or Received you can un-tick the selection and click the Save "Paid" and "Received" status button again.

Q. Why can't I access restricted areas (e.g. Adult category)?
A. Please make sure your browser and firewall allow cookies. A cookie needs to be placed on your computer so that the system can remember you. How to enable cookies. Please also make sure your system date is set correctly. Please also try using a different browser, such as Firefox. Alternatively, you can become a Credit Card Verified User in order to access restricted areas.

Q. How do I become a seller?
A. You need to create a Seller's Account. Click here to create a Seller's Account.

Q. I cannot contact my buyer or my buyer has not paid me, what should I do?

Q. I have listed items to sell, but they are still in Pending. Why aren't they active?
A. As your Seller's Account is not yet active, any items you list will remain in 'Pending' until such time your Seller's Account has been created. Depending on which method you have selected, (C/Card, Address Verification or Photo Identification) will determine the duration for this process. Once you have successfully created your Seller's Account, you will be able to activate your 'Pending' items, by clicking on the 'Activate' button to start your listings.

Q. I am having trouble uploading pictures. Can you help?
A. If you're using the online listing page, there are 3 different picture uploaders you can use.
- For Windows Vista users click the link UNDER the Upload Picture button
- For other operating system users click the Upload Picture button. From here you can try the Fast Uploader or Classic Uploader.

Q. A buyer has stated they cannot purchase my item(s). Why?
A. You may have restricted buyers by setting buyer requirements. See Approving Buyers. You will need to select 'Unlimited' under the Min. Rating field and 'Not Required' under the Verification field in order to ensure there are no buyer restrictions. Alternatively, you may also pre-approve buyers by adding them to your Favourite Members.

Q. Some of my items have moved to 'Unsold' but I had selected the Auto-Relist feature. Why?
A. Our system filters out items without bids that have been listed for 60 days or more, as a general clean-up. This improves the buyer experience. You may relist them from your 'Unsold' items list. A Relist fee of $0.02 per item will apply.

Q. I have accidentally marked items as 'Paid' and or 'Sent'. How do I fix this?
A. If you accidentally mark an item as Paid or Sent you can un-tick the selection and click the Save "Paid" and "Sent" status button again.

Q. How do I amend my 'About me' page?
A. Please go to My OZtion > My Account and select the About Me link. Enter your amendments, then select the 'Preview About me' button. This will take you to a new page. Please check your amendments then if you are happy with them, select the 'Confirm' button to accept the changes.

Q. Can I search for completed listings (previously sold listings)?
A. We currently do not have a completed sales search function in place. You can however view sold items of a particular seller from the sellers profile page.

Q. I have reported an 'Unpaid Item' and have yet to receive a refund. When will I receive a refund?
A. Please go to My OZtion > My Account and view the bolded heading Disputes (at the bottom of the page). Under this heading you will note the link to 'Unpaid Item' requiring your further action. You need to wait 5 days before you can apply for a refund. Click the link, select the item and select 'Payment not received'. You will receive a refund within 48 hours. More info

Q. Can a non-paying buyer leave me an 'Unsatisfied' rating?
A. If a buyer is involved in an Unpaid Item dispute, the buyer will lose the privilege to leave a rating.

Q. Whilst my status is set to 'Away', are my items still subject to be moved to Unsold after 60 days?
A. When a seller has set themselves to 'Away', their listings although hidden, are still subject to being moved to the Unsold list after 60 days. Learn more about being set to Away
