This
professional
lungeing
whip
is
a
precision
tool
that
was
proudly
hand
made
by
a
German
whip
maker,
a
traditional
craftsmanship
almost
vanished
nowadays.
The
fibre
glass
stick
tapers
off
towards
the
top
to
avoid
top-heaviness
which
would
make
precise
and
sensitive
touching
of
the
horse
impossible.
The
relatively
short
stick
(1.6
m)
in
combination
with
the
light
but
long
leather
string
(3.4
m)
allows
a
wide
reach
while
preventing
the
handler's
wrist
and
elbow
from
strain
(as
it
happens
with
whips
with
a
long
stick
and
short
string).
Only
premium
grade
materials
are
used
for
this
whip.
The
web
covering
the
stick
consists
of
wool
thread,
size
and
varnish
instead
of
cheap
nylon.
