A lovely Aboriginal art panel by Deborah Coertse.
Deborah is a Nyoongar artist born in Fremantle Western
Australia.
Deborah was never handed down styles of painting, she
is a self taught artist and her paintings are a depiction of
her interpretations of life and its living creatures.
Her Aboriginal ancestry originates from the Bibbulmun
people from Gnowangerup WA. Debbies father is from
Holland who came out to Australia after World War II
with his mother and his brother to make a new start after
his father passed away.
Deborah began painting while pregnant with her 5th child
in 1988. Deborah???s artworks are held in many private
collections throughout the World and is widely published.
Very good condition. The printing at the top (which didn't
photograph very well) reads "Hibernation", "Aboriginal Art",
"yirra kurl", "Australia".
