Description:

E.V. TIMMS FOREVER TO REMAIN H/C D/J Colonial Era AUSTRALIAN

This 304 page hard cover book with dust jacket was published by Angus & Robertson, 1948. This was the second reprint in the same year. 'High adventure is the keynote and love the theme of this story of a fateful journey to Western Australia in 1831: while most of the characters are fictitious, the background is historically authentic. This was the first of E.V. Timms's series of Australian life. It covers the early days of the Swan River settlement.

Edward Vivian Timms was a Queenslander, born at Charters Towers, in 1895. As a boy he also lived in Coolgardie (at the time the great goldfields water scheme was completed), and later in Fremantle, WA. He served in two World Wars. His 17th century historical romances, published both in Australia and England, brought him acclaim. He also wrote short stories, radio plays and serials, and film scenarios.

The book is in good, clean condition with no tears, creases or significant age marks/foxing. The dust jacket is in good condition with a couple of small chips underneath the mylar cover that has kept it clean. This one is over 500g and will go into a prepaid Aussie Post satchel for a fixed fee to anywhere in Australia.

Ask seller a question

Question:
There are four EV Timms books I would like to buy from you. Item numbers are 4314360; 4314365; 4314386 and 4313355. Could you please give me a quote for a total price plus cost of postage and handling. I am in Perth. Margaret/mimsie117

Answer:
Hi there, All books requested would come to $28.00 plus $9.60 postage = $37.60. That's for bidding on the auction price and waiting for its natural end. If you wanted the Buy Now prices to end the auctions immediately it would be $32 + $9.60 postage = $41.60. I post the same day payment shows in my account. Just to confirm the books you were interested in are as follows: Forever To Remain H/C - 4314360 Scarlet Frontier P/B - 4314365 The Big Country H/C - 4314386 Pathway To The Sun H/C - 4314355 (not 4313355) That's exact Oz Post postage for a prepaid satchel for goods over 500g and up to 3kg so no handling charges at all and all books would go in the one parcel. Kind Regards Dawn
