Scarlet
Frontier
AUSTRALIANA
Colonial
Saga
P/B
This
311
page
paperback
was
published
by
Angus
&
Robertson,
1973.
The
book
is
set
in
Queensland
and
is
the
sixth
book
in
E.
V.
Timms's
notable
saga
of
Australian
life.
It
is
the
gripping
and
emotionally
dramatic
story
of
three
very
unusual
women,
the
beautiful
Leighton
sisters,
told
against
the
turmoil
and
hazards
of
the
epic
days
of
early
Queensland
settlement.
These
three
women,
Isabelle
Warren,
Molly
White,
and
Kitty
Leighton,
the
unmarried
sister,
dominate
the
story.
The
reader
meets
again
those
lovable
characters,
Martha
Gubby
and
her
diminutive
husband
Henry,
whose
destinies
together
with
those
of
Simon
Challinor
and
Penelope,
are
touched
by
the
drama
of
the
Leighton
women.'
