This
hydrometer
is
designed
to
suit
small
Lead-Acid
batteries
like

used

Simply
recharging
a
battery
may
not
identify
a
poorly
performing
battery
before
it
causes
trouble.
In
cold
months
battery
performance
can
be
reduced
by
50%
due
to
ambient
temperature
alone.
If
a
battery
is
failing
it
WILL
show
up
in
Cold
weather,
so
identify
the
potential
problem
before
you
get
stuck.
Simple
to
use,
all
you
do
is
remove
the
battery
cell
cap
and
place
the
nozzle
into
the
cell,
slowly
squeeze
the
rubber
bulb
and
fill
to
the
indicated
line
and
release.
Lift
the
hydrometer
up
(but
don't
remove
from
the
battery
cell)
and
look
at
the
balls
floating
(or
not)
in
the
chamber.
Scale
on
the
side
indicates
battery
condition.
Now
squeeze
the
rubber
bulb
again
to
expel
battery
fluid.
Repeat
operation
in
each
cell.
