RARE OLD TRIBAL FLUTE AND CARVED WOOD STOPPER

EAST SEPIK REGION NEW GUINEA Pre 1960


 

 

         This is a Fine, Rare Old Tribal Ceremonial Flute with an Intricately Carved Wood Stopper. The Bamboo Flute has Vegetable Fibre Hand Woven End Bindings and the Solid Wood Stopper is Intricately Decorated and Shows the Marks of Primitive Carving Implements. The Flute and Stopper are 95cm (37.5 inches) Long as Pictured with the Stopper in Place. A Rare and Excellent, Authentic New Guinea Tribal Ceremonial Flute with Stopper. See Photos.
