WHAT A MAGNIFICENT FIGURINE!

DESIGNER CRAFTED IN PEWTER AND 999 SILVER.

I COULD CLEAN THE TARNISH FROM THIS ITEM, BUT THEN I WOULD HAVE TO RAISE THE PRICE
TO COVER MY TIME.

THE WORKMANSHIP ON THIS FIGURINE IS SPLENDID.

THERE IS THE MAKER'S SILVER PAPER LABEL ATTTACHED TO THE BASE.
MADE IN ITALY - PELTRO (PEWTER), ARGENTATO (SILVER PLATED) 999

THE ONLY MARKINGS THAT I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND ON THE PIECE ITSELF IS THE
WORD 'PELTRO' INCISED INTO THE BASE, UNDER THE PAPER LABEL. THERE COULD BE
SOMETHING UNDER THE TARNISH.

DEPICTING THE ST. BERNARD WITH HIS FAMOUS SMALL BARREL ATTACHED TO HIS COLLAR.

THE FINISHED COLOURING IS THAT OF A GOLDISH TINGE AS IT SHOULD, AMONGST THE BLACKENED OFFSET
WHICH IN THIS CASE MAY BE MOSTLY TARNISH. WHEN BUFFED IN ONE SMALL SECTION THE SHINE
DEFINATELY THERE.

SIZE: 8.5CM WIDE X 9CM HIGH X 5CM DEEP

WEIGHT: 610 GRAMS

CONDITION:
THERE IS NO DAMAGE, DEFINATELY IN NEED OF A GOOD FINE METAL CLEANER.
THERE IS DIFFICULTY IN IDENTIFYING ANY FINE WEAR FROM THE TARNISH.

The label on the underside says in Italian ( peltro argentato 999 ) = pewter silver 999 - I would take this to be 99.9% silver as pewter isn't graded the same say as silver. Pewter would be the alloy added. I can only go by its label. I can so some research on the internet to gain any futher information on this marking for you. Cheers Doris
