The Crown or 5 Shillings were first introduced in 1937  and lasted only 2 years as they were unpopular with people because of the heavy weight of them in Pockets. They weigh 28.27 grams nearly 1 oz of Silver.The 1937 mintage was 1,008,000 Pieces.Because the pieces are so big it is hard to get examples without bagmarks or nicks as damage would have occured during Minting and bagging from the mint.....
