This
is
a
great
big
book
of
dolls,
their
makers,
materials
used,
clothing
worn
and
a
lot
of
other
information
for
the
doll
maker
or
collector.
It
is
dated
1968
and
is
by
the
Coleman's.
There
are
2000
Illustrations
and
Marks
in
Color
and
Black
and
White.
The
time
frame
of
these
dolls
range
from
ancient
times
to
about
1925.
The
years
of
manufacture
are
given
for
hundreds
of
dolls.
Where
they
are
from
focuses
mainly
on
western
Europe
and
the
United
States.
You
will
find
the
trade
names
of
dolls,
methods
of
manufactures
for
both
complete
dolls
and
doll
parts,
descriptions
of
types
of
dolls
and
of
such
related
subjects
as
wigs,
feet,
eyes,
teeth,
and
joints.
Also
information
on
clothing,
sizes,
original
prices
(this
is
very
interesting
to
be
sure),
and
in
many
instances
even
the
numbers
of
certain
specific
dolls
made
and
sold
in
various
years.

Please
note
that
the
photograph
used
was
taken
when
my
mother
first
purchased
this
book
to
look
up
some
specific
old
dolls
she
had.
I
haven't
been
given
any
updated
photos
and
the
book
is
in
her
home.
The
binding
and
inside
pages
are
all
intact
and
good
condition,
but
apparently
the
cover
has
wear
and
tear
and
there
is
a
some
paper
missing,
still
a
great
learning
book
and
apparently
very
sought
after
by
doll
collectors.
