The base metal is jewellers brass, which is non allergenic, and the layered 18 Carat gold is 75 mil (about 15 times as thick as plating) and 150 mil (about 30 times as thick as plating). The jewellery does NOT have a clear coating like some other companies. Clear coating on Gold jewellery can give rashes and can cause green marks on this skin. Quality is our first priority and all our gold thickness are X-Ray Fluorescence tested.
