Crown
were
Australia's
first
5/-
Shilling
value
Crown.
Both
had
limited
mintage
with
the
1938
having
the
lowest
mintage
and
thus,
the
higher
scarcity
-
hence
the
higher
value.
Large
and
unpopluar
at
the
time
many
Crowns
were
thrown
into
melting
pots
for
their
silver
content
(92%)
both
back
in
the
1930's
and
during
the
frenzy
of
silver
prices
in
the
1970's.
